The mission is simple.

The weapon itself is not very effective, for this you need to transfer it to the chest, which will increase the damage depending on the level of merging of the chest, the damage of the weapon will multiply.

To connect the equipment, you need to find two identical items on the field, and use the mouse or swipe to connect them together.
There is a promotion button just below the playing field, when you click on it, new items for merging appear on the field, and the boss will become one step closer to you when the step counter drops to zero, the next click will start a boss fight.
